We have full wrap-around care from 7:40am until 5:20pm Monday to Thursday and on Fridays from 7:40am. This care takes the form of two clubs – ‘Early Birds’ Breakfast Club’ available before school and our ‘After School Club’. Both are £6.50 per hour.
Both Wrap-around clubs, Breakfast and After School, are based in our beautiful kitchen and ‘Green Room’ in our Victorian Building. This is a homely and welcoming space with a family kitchen table, where they share a breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, toast and fruit in the mornings and similar in the afternoons. They play imaginatively, read, make, play board games, construct and invent together as well as having active fun outside.
Louise Lloyd – who is also on our teaching staff, creates a warm family atmosphere in the breakfast club. Kate and Paul make stacks of toast, bowls of fruit and Cracker-towers as well as creating a buzz of excitement in the afternoons. Everybody loves being a part of the wrap-around gang!
We also have a full and varied programme of specialist clubs for all ages. We want these clubs to be opportunities for children to explore different activities and try something new within the ethos and culture of the Freshford environment.
A timetable of specialist clubs and our wrap-around clubs can be found below. Specialist clubs are booked a term in advance and this booking will open on the Arbor parent portal before the end of the previous term. However, wrap-around care will be bookable on the day of the club. Places at all clubs are limited and will be booked on a first-come basis and in some over-subscribed clubs (Lego Robotics), we will pick names ‘from a hat’ to make access as fair as possible.
